Our Ortles Light 2 down jacket with hood is an exceptionally lightweight, wind-resistant and water-repellent insulation jacket for alpine activities such as alpine mountaineering, ski and glacier tours and ice climbing. As it was developed in collaboration with renowned mountain guide associations in the Alps, it offers professional insulation and functionality. Designed according to Salewa’s body mapping system, it features 750 cuin 90/10 down fill combined with Polartec® Alpha® active insulation, which we strategically place to meet the specific insulation needs of different body zones. The lightweight yet durable Nylon ripstop outer fabric is ideal for alpine activities. SALEWA® uses only down certified according to the Responsible Down Standard (RDS). Features an insulated, fitted hood with integrated collar. Our Free Motion cut construction and ergonomic sleeves prevent riding up the hem when climbing. The jacket can be worn as a warming outer layer or insulating mid-layer. In addition, it can be stored particularly compact and space-saving in the backpack.
